RENO AUTISM INFORMATION NETWORK (RAIN)

Parenting Project

Offers many parenting classes in various Las Vegas and Henderson sites and at numerous dates and times.  Call them at 702/ 455-5295 for specific sites, dates, and times.

 

Northern Nevada Dental Society/Health Program

Provides free dental care to eligible children in Northern Nevada.  Eligible children are (1) age 18 years and younger who meet the Medicaid or Nevada Check-up guidelines and can provide a copy of their current identification card, and (2) have been denied Medicaid or Nevada Check-up and whose family income falls between 133% and 200% of the current poverty guidelines, as verified by W-2 or current check stub.  For more details, call 775/ 337-0593.   

 

Statewide Respite Information

The Nevada Association for the Handicapped (NAH) is host agency for a statewide respite program which operates on a grant from the Children’s Trust Fund. The grant offers statewide respite information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via a toll-free number (1-866/ 486-2275).  Anyone may use this toll-free service.  Related information, including the entire respite directory for children, adults, seniors, and hospice, is also available at www.givemeabreakinc.homestead.com

Open Lips

Support group for parents who have a child with cleft lip/palette is available in the Reno/Sparks area.  If you would like to talk with another parent who has experience with cleft lip/palette issues, contact Lisa at 775/ 626-3221.
